THIS CLASS IS NOW OVER… MAY RETURN IN 2021

One of the hardest things you’ll ever do as a writer is edit your own work. This interactive, two hour workshop will take you step by step, sentence by sentence, as to how a line edit is done.

Course Outline

The ability to edit your own work is important to your success as a writer. By editing your own short piece of work, along with other attendees, you’ll quickly see your bad habits and learn how to create good habits.

One of the most important things to learn is write first, edit later.

You’ll learn what questions to ask, when to delete, when to save and how to save yourself from going crazy as you remove those delicately crafted phrases and replace them with masterpieces. Then your work will be ready for you to send to a professional editor, agent, or publisher.

Students asked to submit 150-200 words prior to class for online real-time editing.

Perfect companion course to Editing 101 and Getting Your Book Editor Ready.
