Short Story Course IN PERSON

This writing class is designed for students interested in the fine art of the short story. Recommend that students already know their writing voice. In this class you will create a new body of work and/or flesh out an existing one. Class time is split between lecture, in-class assignments, feedback/critique, and take-home assignments. Students will get the tools they need to create, edit, and proof their own work. By the end of this course students should at least one short story of 1000 to 1500 words, suitable for contest entry. Contest information supplied. Bring a pen/paper or laptop to class.

Creative Writing – ONLINE

Introduce yourself to many creative writing forms and discover where your true talents as an author are. Try your hand at fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction, through a stimulating series of assignments and exercises. Discover the types of creative writing that are being published and winning awards. Similar to Fabulous Fiction (as taught at UVic )but with more variety on types of fiction to try your hand at and different assignments.
